This seems like a reasoned and thoughtful poll

The initial release of this mode is more like a test run, the first of many releases. I think it'd be closer to what we're looking for than 1.0 but not quite there yet since it's untested by the community. There's really no knowing what the exact release will be like until we see it or try it ourselves, and as said it might not reflect the end product fully anyway.

TGM is right, I do think though that it will be another month of bug fixes after the release
